Find fun at Cedarburg festival in February
SAVE THE DATES of Feb. 9-10 to join the fun at Historic Cedarburg’s 34th Annual Winter Festival.
With the theme “Shiver me Timbers – Pirates,” the fun will include the tee-off on Saturday morning for the Ice-Burg Open Golf Tournament in Cedar Creek Park. Ride the hay wagon to view the creations from the Ice Carving Contest, created by artists at locations along Washington Ave.
There’s a Winter Festival Grand Pirate Parade set for 1 p.m. Saturday. At 1:30 p.m. that day, don’t miss the Landlubber Bed Races Competition featuring pirate-themed costumed racing teams, followed by the Yo Ho Ho Barrel Racing Contest at 2 p.m.
For grownups, Saturday evening activities include a beer tasting, including sampling from area restaurants and designer beers.
Sunday morning brings a Pancake Breakfast, egg hunt and dog weight- pull competition. Every day of the weekend, there is family skating at Cedar Creek.
Cedar Creek Settlement, located at the corner of Bridge St. and Washington Ave., always draws for shoppers and diners. During the festival, the settlement’s live music, brat cookout, wine tasting and Valentine goodie bags make this a don’t miss destination.
