Old World 3rd Street at center of parade route MILWAUKEE’S St. Patrick’s Day parade steps out on Saturday, March 12, at noon in downtown Milwaukee. The parade begins at the Shops of Grand Avenue at Old World 3rd St. and W. Wisconsin Ave., proceeding east to Plankinton Ave., north on Plankinton to Kilbourn Ave., west on Kilbourn to Old World 3rd, north on Old World 3rd to Juneau Ave., east on Juneau to Water St., then south on Water St. The Parade will feature
more than 130 units and will include clowns, local politicians and
celebrities, floats, bagpipe and marching bands,
Irish and Celtic organizations. After the parade, enjoy the Shamrock Club Post Parade Party from 1-6 p.m. at the Irish Heritage and Cultural Center, 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave. Four stages of continuous entertainment are planned, and food and beverages will be available. Admission charges are: Adults $6 and Children 6-12, $3. Phone 345-8800 for information.
