Cedar Creek Winery holds open house
Cedar Creek Winery, located in the historic 1864 Cedar Creek Settlement, hosts the 16th Annual Open House 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 19, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, March 20.
Visitors can barrel-taste 2004 vintages with Winemaker Philippe Coquard and sample many gold and silver award-winning wines. The Jay Mollerskov Trio will provide music during the open house. Cooking with wine demonstrations will add to the fun as well.
The success of last year’s Artisan Charity Auction called for another in 2005. At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, jewelry, wine, framed prints, pottery and other items donated by settlement merchants will go “on the block” at a live voice auction. The auction benefits Ozaukee County Habitat for Humanity.
Cedar Creek Settlement is located on the corner of Washington and Bridge in Cedarburg, just 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. I-43 north to Cedarburg Exit 89, go west three miles, turn right on Washington Ave.
