seek playoff berth
THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS, after making it to the National Basketball Association playoffs last year under coach Terry Porter, are hoping to repeat this season. Seven home games are on tap for February. COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Men’s and women’s basketball teams from Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have become increasingly competitive with the best teams in the nation. This month, all four teams compete in conference championships and the UWM men and Marquette women are hopeful for berths in the NCAA tournament. The Marquette men’s squad, which plays at the Bradley Center home, is the only team with home games remaining on the regular schedule: March 2 at 7 p.m.against Houston and March 5 at noon against St. Louis.
