Half-Price Tickets offers new Citi Pass

HALF-PRICE TICKETS, which opened earlier this year in Downtown Milwaukee’s Shops of Grand Avenue, has launched a new Citi Pass program offering packaged discounts to area attractions.

“Cities all over North America have been successfully using this type of program for years and it has been nothing short of a phenomenal success everywhere it has been tried,” said Don Hoffman, owner of Half-Price Tickets.

The Half-Price Tickets Citi Pass offers tourists and residents a number of interesting and varied arts and recreational activities in a convenient, easy-to-use booklet that saves them nearly 50% off the admissions they would pay if they went to each site separately. The Citi Pass featuring 15 museums and attractions is $34.99 or $19 for children 6-15. Also available is a Mini Citi Pass featuring eight attractions for $19.99 or $10.99 for children.

“We started this project because we were swamped by tourists asking us what there is to do in Milwaukee during the day,” said Hoffman. ”It’s a great service to them because they don’t have to waste their time trying to track down information on the hundreds of places they could go in the city and surrounding areas. We’ve done the research for them so they can get right down to the sightseeing.”

While the Citi Pass currently is available only at the Half-Price Tickets booth inside the Shops of Grand Avenue at 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., Hoffman already is talking with area hotels about offering the pass. :”We anticipate that the Citi Pass and the Mini Citi Pass will soon be available at dozens of hotels around southeastern Wisconsin,” said Hoffman.

The primary business of half-Price Tickets is the sale of day-of-performance tickets at discounts from 30% to 70%. Approximately 75, arts, sports, cultural and entertainment venues throughout Southeastern Wisconsin make tickets available through the Half-Price booth, which is open from noon to 7p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
