Navigating the Arts Art Walk and Sale
draws visitors to Port Washington
VISITORS to the Navigating the Arts Art Walk and Sale in downtown Port Washington on Friday, May 12, and Saturday, May 13, will feature hands-on participation for all ages, as well as the talents of 30 regional artists.
Hours of the event that will fill the picturesque city 20 miles north of Milwaukee are 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The artists, hosted by downtown businesses, will demonstrate their techniques as well as display and sell their works. Media such as jewelry, painted furniture, wood carvings, metal works/sculptures, pen and ink drawings, mosaics, pottery and much more will inspire the imagination.
An extensive outdoor area dedicated to arts activities will feature projects from painting to sculpting to beading, with participants taking their creations home.
Music and other entertainment will add to the excitement. New this year is a trolley that will make viewing the different venues fun and easy. Also helping to guide visitors will be comprehensive map. For more information, phone 262-305-4220.
