Brewers off to fast start

THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS, who surprised most observers by finishing third in the National League’s Central Division last year and have already indicated that they intend to be even more competitive in 2006.

Playing at Miller Park, where the retractable dome ensures games will be played regardless of the weather, the Brewers have 13 games in May, including an interleague series against the Minnesota Twins.

THE BADGER REGIONAL Volleyball Tournament is set for May 13 and 14 at the Midwest Airlines Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave.
