Strawberries fill Cedarburg June 25 & 26

CELEBRATE strawberries, for many the most luscious fruit of the season, during Historic Cedarburg's 20th Annual Strawberry Festival, Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, June 26, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Berries by the quart and delicacies such as Strawberry Shortcake, Strawberry Pie, Strawberry Crepes, Strawberry Slush, Strawberry Schaum Torte, Chocolate-Covered Strawberries and Strawberry Ice Cream will be there for the tasting.

Enjoy Cedar Creek Winery’s Strawberry Blush Wine and purchase one of their award-winning wines by the glass and by the bottle.  Cedar Creek Settlement hosts the Sunday Morning Strawberry Pancake Breakfast, from 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m. for an all-you-can-eat outdoor, summertime treat with live music.

Stroll Washington Avenue for the Strawberry Festival Country Craft Fair, the Ozaukee Art Center Fine Art Fair and Cedarburg Cultural Center’s Fine Art Fair. Chat with the artists as they “quick paint” outdoors on Saturday during the 5th Annual Plein Air Painting Competition. (You can bid on the paintings during a Silent Auction at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.) Strawberry Day On The Farm at the Wisconsin Quilt and Textile Museum will include free tours, shows and demonstrations.

Lots of live music, the Ozaukee Humane Society’s Pet Pageant, contests, sports demonstrations and the 13th annual Berry 5K walk/run on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. round out the weekend.
