JUNE 2006 Brewers home for 16 games
Playing at Miller Park, where the retractable dome ensures all games will be played, the Brewers have 16 games in June, including two series with American League teams and one with division-rival St. Louis. WISCONSIN is fortunate to have two major tracks – the historic Milwaukee Mile at Wisconsin State Fair Park and Road America in Elkhart Lake north of Milwaukee. The racing season at the Milwaukee Mile opens with a roar June 3-4 with the Time Warner Cable Road Runner 225, bringing leading open-wheel drivers and cars to Milwaukee in the Champ Car World Series. Later in the month, June 23 & 24, NASCAR returns to the Milwaukee Mile with the AT&T 250 and the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck event. Both NASCAR races are evening events. At Road America in Elkhart Lake, the AMA/Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader opens the month June 1-4, followed by the Kohler/Sports Car Club of America June sprints, hosting more than 400 amateur competitors in 24 classes.
