The Peruvian village of Chinchero is home to a revival of ancient textile-making techniques fostered by his sister, Nilda Callañaupa. Concerned about the disappearance of traditional weaving practices, Nilda has fostered a renewed interest and pride in quality craftsmanship and now serves as Project Coordinator for the Center for Traditional Textiles, based in Cusco, Peru. 84-3100.
