Buffett’s Spirit – The Seventh Fire here Aug. 19 SPIRIT-THE SEVENTH FIRE is a unique, immersive and dramatic blend of American Indian dance, custom projections and live concert that will be performed Aug. 19-Sept. 10 on Milwaukee’s lakefront.
Performances take place in a one-of-a-kind 750-seat theater, constructed within a specially designed, climate-controlled tent, located in the 1700 block of N. Lincoln Memorial Dr. The theater’s film projection screens measure 90 feet wide and 40 feet high. Spirit comes to Milwaukee from Omaha where it was shown for the first time. It will travel directly from Milwaukee to Washington, D.C., to be performed during the opening of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Milwaukee resident, film and television composer Peter Buffett developed the show Spirit–The Seventh Fire. The show features the talents of many Wisconsin artists and dancers. The show is designed to appeal to a diverse demographic including ages eight to 80. The show will be performed in Milwaukee Tuesday-Sunday (nine shows per week). Tickets will be sold through all Ticket Master outlets, through Ticketmaster online, or by phone at 276-4545. The show is 90 minutes long.
