Pabst Mansion focuses on Victorian practices FROM JULY 30 THROUGH OCT. 31, Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, 2000 W. Wisconsin Ave., features “The Captain at Rest: Final Respects II.” This special exhibit is a follow-up to a previous display that celebrated the unique and lavish Victorian way of death. Visitors can “pay their respects” in the music room, where a typical funeral awaits. An array of rare, unique and bizarre collections will bring to life Victorian mourning customs, symbolism, fashions and Victorian cemetery architecture. In addition, Historic Milwaukee, Inc. leads a series of tours of Milwaukee's historic cemeteries. These locations are filled with history and stunning architecture. A schedule follows, and phone 414-277-7795 for info and tickets. Calvary Cemetery Forest Home Cemetery Current
