Morning Glory Craft Fair celebrates
best in fine craft artists Aug. 13-14

CELEBRATING its 31st anniversary, Morning Glory Craft Fair, presented by the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC), returns Aug. 13-14 to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St., and Red Arrow Park (directly across Water St.).

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, 149 fine craft exhibitors will display and sell their work outdoors. The fair is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the weekend.

The fair showcases the talent of regional and national fine craft artists working in ceramics, fiber, enamel, jewelry, leather, metal, sculpture, photography, glass, wood, printmaking, and mixed media.

This is the event for finding decorative, yet functional fine crafts for the home and “wearable art,” including jewelry and accessories.

Most Morning Glory exhibitors are members of the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC), a statewide fine crafts organization. WDCC, founded in 1916, is the second oldest professional fine crafts organization in the nation, and is celebrating its 89th anniversary in 2005. The group is dedicated to fostering excellence in fine crafts and making them more significant in the cultural life of Wisconsin. More information can be found at www.wdcc.org.
