ANGEL CALLAÑAUPA: LEGACY OF THE INCAS, through Sept. 1; Latino Arts Gallery, 1028 S. 9th St. Through his vividly painted scenes of village life and traditionally crafted weavings, Callañaupa captures the colors and motifs used by his Inca ancestors. The Peruvian village of Chinchero is home to a revival of ancient textile-making techniques fostered by his sister, Nilda Callañaupa. Concerned about the disappearance of traditional weaving practices, Nilda has fostered a renewed interest and pride in quality craftsmanship and now serves as Project Coordinator for the Center for Traditional Textiles, based in Cusco, Peru. 84-3100.

GERICAULT TO CEZANNE: NINETEENTH-CENTURY FRENCH PRINTS, through Sept. 3; Milwaukee Art Museum. Presents a host of themes, styles and techniques that characterize the trends of nineteenth-century printmaking in France. 224-3243.
