32nd Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair The 32nd annual Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 12-13, at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St. and at Red Arrow Park across the street in downtown Milwaukee. This popular, free fine craft fair will feature original ceramics, fiber, enamel, glass, paper, jewelry, leather, metal, photography, wood, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media by 140 artists. The fair is sponsored by the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC), a statewide professional organization. The Morning Glory Craft Fair has been named one of the top 100 art fairs in the U.S. The emphasis is on decorative, yet functional, fine crafts for the home, plus wearables, jewelry and accessories. Attendees will find an extensive selection of high quality contemporary crafts in a wide range of prices., New this year is a free community concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Peck Pavilion on the grounds of the Marcus Center. The concert features the popular Milwaukee band Streetlife with Warren Wiegratz. Food is available at the fair, and there is a silent auction (on Saturday only), featuring work donated by the artists to benefit Artists Working in Education (AWE). Founded in 1916, the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
