You want to what?
Sky diving, ballooning

MUSEUMS are great, but some Milwaukee visitors want more action.

President George H.W. Bush, who skydived on his 80th birthday, would head for Skydive Milwaukee, the home of the Sky Knights Sport Parachute Club in East Troy, about 30 minutes southwest of Milwaukee.

For more than 47 years, the Sky Knights have been training first-time jumpers, usually in tandem jumps with experienced instructors. Skydive Milwaukee jumps year round, as weather permits. Current hours are noon-sunset Mon.-Fri, and 7 a.m.-sunset on Sat. & Sun.

All skydivers must be 18 or older. For more information, call 1-800-382-4883 or visit www.skydivemilwaukee.com.

Hot-air ballooning

Wisconsin’s weather isn’t always ideal for hot-air ballooning, but when conditions are right Ken Walters of Wind Dancer Balloons in Waukesha will take you into the air for spectacular views of the Lake Country, Holy Hill, the region’s many lakes and other landmarks.

Walters typically takes two riders, but can handle more depending on weight. He launches his balloons from multiple sites. He operates year round, but takes balloons up most frequently from May to October.

For additional information, contact Ken at 262-522-6675 or e-mail winddancerballoons@gmail.com.
