OCTOBER 2006

Bucks tune up for NBA season
with new logo, new players

THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS give fans a chance to see a new logo, new uniforms and several new players in two exhibition games this month at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth St.

In exhibition games at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4  against the Dallas Mavericks and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 against the Denver Nuggets, the Bucks will introduce a new dark red, forest green and silver logo, replacing the purple logo used since 1993.

After the Bucks lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs last year, key lineup changes were made  through trades. Power-forward Charlie Villanueva was acquired from Toronto in exchange for guard T.J. Ford and forward Reuben Patterson was acquired from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for forward Joe Smith. In addition, the Bucks acquired guard Steve Blake, forward Brian Skinner and backup center Ha Seung-Jin from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for center Jamaal Magloire.

Led by Coach Terry Stotts, the Bucks feature all-star Michael Redd and center Andrew Bogut. The new-look Bucks open the regular season on the road November 1 against the Detroit Pistons and travel to Toronto Nov. 3 before the first game of the home season Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. against the Sacramento Kings.

Tickets for exhibition and  regular-season games are available  at the Bradley Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster at 414-276-4545. Visit www.bucks.com for additional information on the coming season.
