Bucks test rookie Yi Jianlin in home exhibitions

THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS of the NBA are pinning their hopes this year on a combination of veterans led by All-Star Michael Redd and their 2008 draft pick, 6-foot-11-inch Yi Jianlin from China.

Yi Jianlin, the sixth pick in the NBA draft, is expected to join 7-foot Andrew Bogut, the top draft choice in 2005, on the Bucks’ front line.

The Bucks play home games in the Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth St. Tickets are available at the Bradley Center Box office or through www.nba.com/bucks.

Admirals open season this month

THE MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS, frequent contenders for the American Hockey League championship, open the 2007-2008 season this month.

THE Milwaukee Wave, always a contender in the Major Indoor Soccer League, open a new season this month with two fast-paced games.
