Celebrate the season with a special brunch!
CELEBRATE the season with a leisurely brunch – a great excuse to gather people together. In addition to “special event” brunches at area attractions, many of Milwaukee’s restaurants serve up fantastic brunches amid festive holiday décor. Reservations are recommended, so consult KEY Dining for phone numbers and addresses.
At Boerner Botanical Gardens, Bartolotta Catering Company serves a special holiday brunch on Sundays in December. In addition, families can decorate gingerbread houses with garden and natural items. Prices are $24.95 for adults and $12.95 for children. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling 414-525-5635.
At the Milwaukee Art Museum, a Holiday Champagne Brunch will be served up on Sunday, Dec. 10, from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy a delicious buffet, holiday treats and seasonal drinks, and live music provided by members of the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra. Reservations are recommended at 414-224-3282. Prices are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
DOWNTOWN
Water Street Brewery serves Sunday brunch from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Choose traditional French toast or versions made with Frangelico or brandy apples. Also, WEST location in Delafield.
Envoy, located inside the art deco splendor of the Ambassador Hotel, serves a tableside brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
Metro Bar & Café serves breakfast seven days a week, but the casual elegance of Metro is especially suited to the weekend.
Michigan Street Diner dishes up breakfast along with friendly ambiance on Sunday from 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
Mader’s German Restaurant adds ethnic specialties to its Sunday brunch buffet, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Trocadero, known for a year-round heated patio, serves brunch with a French flair on Saturday and Sunday.
Mykonos offers a full breakfast menu, including Greek dishes, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. every day (except weekends, when breakfast is available until 2 p.m).
County Clare serves up the hearty breakfast that Irish inns are known for from 8-10 a.m. on Sunday.
Broadway Bistro, located in the Historic Third Ward, features crème brulee oatmeal, creative egg dishes and more, daily 8-11 a.m. and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Barossa, known for its organic ingredients, serves up brunch specialties from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.
Balzac Wine Bar’s Saturday and Sunday brunch combines great food with the fun of the Brady Street neighborhood.
Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s Buffet restaurant is known for a wide variety of choices every day, but on Sundays from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. it offers a Champagne brunch.
NORTH
Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro offers views of Lake Michigan as well as a 10:30-2 p.m. Sunday brunch.
Klug’s Creekside Inn brings back its popular breakfast buffet, served 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday mornings.
Port Hotel Restaurant, located in picturesque Port Washington, offers a Sunday brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m. that includes pasta, omelets and Belgian waffles stations, plus much more.
WEST
Saz’s State House opens at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday to serve up a great brunch.
The Grove in Elm Grove serves Sunday brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
At Weissgerber’s Seven Seas on Lake Nagawicka in Hartland, enjoy unforgettable lake views as well as the cuisine from 10:30-2 p.m. Sundays.
