NBA Bucks at home for six games this month
Yi Jianlin, the sixth pick in the NBA draft, joins 7-foot Andrew Bogut, the top draft choice in 2005, on the Bucks’ front line, but the team continues to be led by All-Star sharpshooter Michael Redd. December home games: Full slate of games includes UWM vs. UW Badgers MEN’S AND WOMEN’S basketball teams at Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) are always competive in their conferences and often qualify for post-season play. Marquette plays in the tough Big East, while UWM is a leader in the Horizon League. This month’s highlight comes Dec. 12 when the UWM men face off against the UW-Madison Badgers of the Big 10. Home games for Marquette men are played at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St., while women call the Al McGuire Center their home court. UWM men play home games at the U.S. Cellular Arena, just north of the Bradley Center at 400 W. Kilbourn Ave., while the women play at the Klotsche Center on campus. The Globetrotters’ “Magic As Ever” world tour stops for 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. performances Dec. 31 at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth St. Now sponsored by Campbell Soup Company, the Globetrotters are celebrating their 82nd consecutive season of touring the world. They have played in 118 countries on six continents, entertaining more than 125 million fans. An autograph session follows every performance.
