The Milwaukee Repertory Theater brings four great choices to Milwaukee audiences, including a new look at “A Christmas Carol” presented in the glorious Pabst Theater, 144 E. Wells St. The other productions are staged in the Rep’s home, the Patty and Jay Baker Theater Complex. This state-of-the-art theatrical complex at 108 E. Wells St. houses three theaters – the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater, the Stiemke Theater and the Stackner Cabaret, and is attached to the historic Pabst Theater. Through Dec. 28, “A Christmas Carol” sweeps audiences into a holiday tradition filled with music, dancing and celebration. This production combines traditional Christmas carols, magnificent costumes, and memorable characters with Dickens’ timeless Christmas tale. “Greater Tuna” runs through Dec. 28 in the Stackner Cabaret. This hilarious comedy takes audiences to Texas’ third smallest town where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. Only two performers portray all of the inhabitants of Tuna – men, women, children and animals. “The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead,” presented in the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater Dec. 9-Jan. 4, is a one-woman tour de force performance exploring multiple perspectives on love, anger and adultery. In the Stiemke Theater, “Guys on Ice” runs Dec. 17-Jan. 4. Ice-fishing buddies Marvin and Lloyd sing about life, love, and the one that got away. Purchase tickets at the Rep box office, 108 E. Wells St., by phone at 224-9490 or online at www.milwaukeerep.com.
