feature article - december 2009 Holiday Lites Show fills Miller Valley MILWAUKEE’S Miller Brewing Company is now part of MillerCoors, but the addition of even more “wow” to December’s spectacular “Holiday Lites” show illustrates that the brewer’s historic ties to Brew City are solid.
One of the largest light shows of its kind in the country, “Holiday Lites” is an audi-visual spectacular, linked to music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The “Lite Shows” can be seen on special 20-minute tours from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3-5; Dec. 10-12 and Dec. 17-19. Holiday Lites Tours begin at the Miller Visitor Center, 4352 W. State St., and include a historical video, the light show, the Miller caves and a sampling of Miller products, before returning to the visitor center. At the end of each tour, drawings will be held for branded merchandise. Formed in 2008, MillerCoors is the second largest beer producer in America with nearly 30% of U.S. beer sales. MillerCoors is a joint venture of SABMiller plc and Molson Coors Brewing Company. The tour center will be closed Dec. 25-27, open from noon-5 p.m. Dec. 28-30, and closed Dec. 31-Jan. 3, reopening on Monday, Jan. 4.
