Bucks start NBA season with new lineup

THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS are exciting fans and the national media with a mix of veteran players, along with rookie sensation Brandon Jennings.

Jennings, whose 55 points in a November game nearly set an NBA rookie record, joins a team led by returning stars Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut. The team also added several NBA veteran players in the off season.

The Bucks play all home games at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St. Tickets may be purchased online at www.bucks.com or at the Bradley Center Box Office.

Professional snowmobile racing at Milwaukee Mile

THE HISTORIC MILWAUKEE MILE at Wisconsin State Fair Park this month will host a national snowmobile race for the first time.

The Milwaukee Mile National Snocross Race Dec. 18 & 19 will be the second of nine national events in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series, featuring pro racers from around the country, regional competition and freestyle performances.

“The Milwaukee Mile held successful snowmobile races back in the ‘70s,” said Andy Schmidt, director of events for Wisconsin State Fair Park. “This race will showcase the next level of snowmobile racing, in a great race venue and avid racing community.”

Single day and weekend passes are available, with prices starting at $10. Outlets for discounted pre-sale tickets are available at www.ISOCRacing.com.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

BOTH MARQUETTE University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have outstanding men’s and women’s basketball programs. Marquette plays in the Big East Conference, while UWM plays in the Horizon League.

Marquette men play at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth St., while the women’s team plays at the Al McGuire Center on campus. UWM men play at the U.S. Cellular Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn and the UWM women play at the Klotsche Center on campus.
