A French-themed free festival featuring live music, an international marketplace, a 43-ft. Eiffel Tower replica and more. July 11-14 at Cathedral Square Par.
Enjoy impromptu street performers, roaming minstrels, and a variety of interactive and musical entertainment at North America's largest outdoor French-themed festival. This year's theme is "Milwaukee mon amour" or "Milwaukee my love."
A key part of that festival is the live entertainment and music performances scattered throughout the festival.
Entertainment ranges from can-can dancers to local favorites like Robin Pluer, to the French funk band Ceux Qui Marchent Debout at the main stage.
New this year is Love Locks, Milwaukee's own Pont des Arts (the bridge in Paris made famous because of the locks with love messages placed on it).
Before enjoying the rest of the festivities, kick off Bastille Days by participating in the annual Storm the Bastille 5K run/walk. The 5K run and 2-mile walk mark the beginning of the festival, as they take place Thursday, July 11, at 9 p.m. The course begins on Jefferson and Wells and takes participants through downtown Milwaukee and the Historic Third Ward.
