Friday events include the opening ceremonies, sculptors turning two thousand pounds of ice into art, the Carnival of Curiosities show and a fireworks extravaganza that lights up the frosty winter sky.
Saturday, kick off the day with a pancake breakfast or the Frosty 5K. (Kids race a 1K free with a parent registration.) Other options include Penguin Egg Hunt, a geocaching event, frozen footgolf, bags tourney and indoor ice skating. Former Ringling Brothers Circus clowns Miller and Mike bring their “carnival” act to the Waukesha Public Library.
Aviation's Grandstand at Crites Field takes your aerial passion to new heights with EAA Young Eagles offering FREE airplane rides to children, ages 8 - 17 (first come/first served, weather permitting).
Take a walk downtown or ride the trolley to check out the results of pros turning 300-pound blocks of ice into artworks for the ice-sculpting contest.
On Sunday, the Cosmic Colors shows at the Retzer Nature Center’s Charles Horwitz Planetarium explore why the sky is blue, Mars is red and why things appear the colors they do. An ice fishing clinic, hikes at the nature center, horse-drawn wagon rides, a Carnival of Animals family concert by the Wisconsin Philharmonic and an Alaska Malamute dog pull event are all part of the fun.
All three days, the Arctic Avalanche toboggan run–a 350 ft. lighted toboggan run–is available (with free toboggans).

The beer garden welcomes you to a heated tent and Raised Grain Brewery beer on tap. Both days feature music, and on Saturday, trivia contests and games are planned.
As part of the JanBoree Opening Ceremonies, on Friday, Educators Credit Union will be on hand with free hot chocolate and popcorn and Texas Roadhouse will be serving up their famous chili and ribs.
On Saturday, food items by Roberts Specialty Meats are available for purchase.

Winter Beer Garden, Minooka Park
Join Delafield Brewhaus in picnic area 3, while taking in Minooka's winter beauty. Keep warm by the campfire and enjoy a self-guided candle light hike. Chili and beverages will be available. Sunday, 3-7pm.
