Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival draws visitors to downtown (cont.)

Santa's Mailbox

Letters for Santa are being collected through Dec. 9 at Santa’s Mailbox, presented by UNISON and Edvest, at Cathedral Square Park.

With an included return address, Santa and his extra special helpers will send a personalized reply in the mail, provided a return address is supplied. Holiday spirit delivers the letters to Santa and the replies – no postage required.

Five Milwaukee County-owned and funded senior centers, managed by UNISON, will assist in the delivery.

Jingle Bus

Presented by Meijer and powered by Coach USA, the Jingle Bus operates 6pm-8:20pm, Thursday through Sunday, through Dec. 30.

The 40-minute tour is narrated by Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassadors. Rides are $2 per person (cash only) and depart from the Warming House at Plankinton Clover Apartments, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Visitors can enjoy complimentary refreshments as they wait. On request, there are $3 parking vouchers for the attached structure.

Hop ’N Shop

Enjoy the Holiday Lights Festival and connect to attractions and happenings with The Hop, Milwaukee’s new streetcar. Rides for the first year are free, presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. For The Hop map and information, see page 29.

Burns Commons

The “Me in MKE” interactive display at Burns Commons, corner of Prospect and Ogden avenues, is a great spot for taking souvenir photos. Add to the fun by sharing images at #MeInMKE.
