Bucks give city a lift winning NBA title
Milwaukee visitors in 2021 will arrive in basketball city, USA, thanks to the July 20 victory over the Phoenix Suns that gave the Milwaukee Bucks the NBA championship.
Led by Giannis Antetokoumpo, who scored 50 points and easily earned the Most Valuable Player title, the Bucks won the championship in Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum before a packed house with an estimated 65,000 fans outside in an expanded Deer District.
The NBA title is only the second in Bucks’ history, the first coming exactly 50 years ago when Lew Alcindor
(Kareem Abdul Jabbar) and Oscar Robertson led the Bucks to the championship.
Antetokoumpo, who pledged to lead the Bucks
to the championship, has become one of the sport’s most recognized figures. Visitors should make sure to stop by the Deer District and the Bucks Pro Shop for Bucks merchandise, including gear celebrating the Greek Freak and the 2021 NBA champs.
