west allis winter week
Events promote creativity, camaraderie, and cheer, echoing the spirit of hygge, a Danish word meaning coziness, comfort and contentment.
Wisconsinites know that cold and snow is inevitable this time of year, and shoveling and driving through snowy and icy weather can be a hassle.
During its inaugural Winter Week, the city of West Allis welcomes the season with open arms, as Scandinavian countries often do.
West Allis is located just west of downtown Milwaukee. All events will take place from 6-8pm, unless indicated otherwise.
During Winter Week, stop in a participating restaurant or coffee shop for a fika (Swedish for “coffee break”). Several West Allis establishments, including Urban Joe Café, Vida MKE, and George Webb Restaurant are offering buy-one-get-one-free drinks.
